Demonic69
Hi all Just looking at the proof marks to (roughly) age the Miroku I acquired recently. Am I right in thinking the initial proof was 1971 -WB1, with the secondary being when it was Teague'd, in 1991 - SC1? Must have been an earlier manufacture as there's no year in the serial number that I can see. Cheers

Gunman
+ = full -+ = 3/4 ++ = 1/2 -++ = 1/4 Thats if my memory is right . Funny how quickly these things go when you retire . 4 years ago I wouldn't have even had to think about this or proof marks etc .

This is the booklet that came with my 800SW sporter, bought new in the early 70s, still have the gun and its had thousands of cartridges put through it and is still tight, one of the best guns built at this time, if its been looked after it should last the OP a life time. The gun in question looks like a trap gun but not sure of model.

I think it's an 800SW Trap due to the half-round action. Not 100% though, hard to find a definitive list of models! (which is really surprising for the Japanese)
Gunman
I am sure the marks I posted are for Browning B25 series and may differ from those used by Miroku . There does seem to be several versions when I Googled them .I asumed that Miroku would have used the same as Browning , but thats the gun trade for you .
