holloway
The gentleman that bought the Pintail decoy asked if I could attempt a Cock Wigeon .A lot more challenging than I thought it would be, when you check photos to try to match the colours they all seem a little different. Also the head is trickier than most ducks. chrisjpainter
Great job, sir. Well done. This is why high quality bird books don't use photographs. Different light, different positions, colour aberrations on individual birds all make for a bit of a minefield. Have you tried using artists' sketches instead of photos? The Collins bird guides are about as good as they come. Just don't use the RSPB sketches; I think they got a gibbon to do them. Some are truly shocking!
