hafod
what's the going rate for a nice .223 rifle just put in for a variation and was just wondering what the going rate for one was
eddoakley
Somewhere between £1.50 and £73,000. Bit of a vague question. What's your budget? What do you need with a gun? £1000 ish buys a nice new Howa complete set up. £1000 doesn't get you a bare Tikka. Loads of choice. Lloyd90
Whatever you want you can find. However all the extras soon add up. I recently bought a Remington Model 7 308 win for £225. Bargain. I had a 6x42 scope already but when I got it out the crosshairs have gone 😢... so another £225 for a S&B 6x42 added on, a DPT moderator at £255 and the RFD charges etc it all adds up. However I have got a nice gun that I had sent to Welsh warrior off here to setup for me and take in during Lockdown. He has set it up for me, checked the barrel and test fired it, all shooting under 1.5” at 100 yards with cheap factory ammo. However looking at the entire package I have spent less than £800 and have a cracking full setup that’ll drop anything in the country. Some of the rifles I was looking at before were £1200+ just for the rifles. Then you can go down the road of £5,000+ rifles or more if you want. WalkedUp
I’m looking for a cheap .223 used, not seen any below £250.

landy george
I picked up just as everything opened up again, a 223 Browning A bolt, Konas scope (£200 new) & mod (£200 new) for £475 all in very good condition. Not seen anything advertised near that price but I'm sure if you shop around there's something out at your price.
