Mrs Sweepy
right i inform both my boys last week that the tuesday after bank holiday we would be like everyone else and make that one trip into town that every mum dreads . the buying the school uniform trip. now after too many years of doing it i think i have down to a fine art. i have it all planned right down to the loo visits and how long they are alould to be in there.to the half hour for tea and cakes. us mums have to have some time out from fighting other mums over the last pair of black trousers in the shops . but this year i stuck lucky or so i thought . monday night when other families were all sitting down watching the christmas repeats on the box .i had my two boys struting their stuff in there old school uniforms like a couple of catwalk models . i could tell by the looks on there faces they were enjoying every min of it . and after a couple of prima donna moments we all came to the conclusion it was only shoes that need to be replaced so off we all went to shopping hell and within half a hour we were all heading home again school shopping all done and dusted . or so i fought . now i would not mine so much if it was not for the fact that i stood in the shoe shop . and i ask both my boys if their school trainers were still ok and not to small and was there anything else that they needed while we was there .and they both stood there and reassure me that there was nothing else they need for school next week . this morning my darling, sweet precious 10 year old inform me he needs football boots by next week.and no he cant wait till i go into town next .as hes in the football team. something else he forgot to tell me (dont you just love them) xxx suzy

Ferret Master
I need new rugby boots. Managed to put off going shopping for 3 days. School jumpers still fit me, as do shoes bought one month before end of term as I had a bit of a growing spree. Suceeded in buying new trousers with the time honoured 'Those will do, buy those lets go.' 'Don't you want to try them on?' 'I'd rather not if it's all the same with you.' 'Try them on; they might not fit.' They fitted. New shirts also fit apparently, providing I tuck myself in. (fat chance of that, do parents not understand the rules of school? One being you have to be tucked in which means most people will make the effort to be un-tucked just like the 'Do your top button up.' And 'Make that tie waist length or I'll do it for you.') The little brother is also entering the big scary world of secondary school. :o He should be OK providing he grows, doesn't walk around with neatly combed hair by Mummy, doesn't have his shirt tucked in, doesn't have his tie of waist length, and doesn't have his top button done up or let on the fact that Father Christmas exists and biggest rule of all... don't bum the teachers, it will make you unpopular very quickly with your new classmates and many members of staff don't like it. Going to be good fun having the mini me around again. B) In his induction week I managed to make him terrified of 90% of my tutor group and friends especially the girls: 'Aww it's a little version of Ollie.' 'AAAHHHHHHHH *small blonde boy runs away screaming* What fun. FM P.S. NTTF might not be able to eat a whole one but height wise he might pass off as one providing he gets some good plastic surgery on his face to make him young again. Perhaps he could be mailed over before the start of term so you can keep one of your kids home for an extended summer holidays while he takes their place at school? Ferret Master
I'm not worth eating, to scrawny and not enough meat on me. Besides I'll be tough and chewy. FM

Ferret Master
Might work I suppose. Would need to be well marinaded first though to keep me succulent and juicy. Yes I would hate for me to go to waste at the hands of pyromaniacs. FM

Dunkield
It's a little known fact is the last week of school holidays you can normally get some good deals on holidays etc because most parents like to keep the last week spare to sort all this suff out
