foxbuster
Hi all, have bought myself an early Xmas present in the form of a pard 007. it’s mounted on my tikka t3 light stainless with synthetic stock. I could do with an extra inch or so (couldn’t we all?!🤣) on the butt to shoulder the rifle nicely with the pard fitted. Anyone run this rig with a removable extension (like those rubber stretchy ones that slip over the butt) or is there someone to recommend me a good extension? Cheers, Chris

enfieldspares
If "long" is how it is always going to best fit then it is also best to do the job once and from the outset. As with the post above I have also used the method of a wooden spacer held in place with a rubber boot over the top (on a 16 bore Manufrance s/b/s) as a "fix". It isn't pretty but it works and doesn't slip. My initial contact might be direct with both the UK importers of Tikka and the actual makers. You can't be the only person that is within their "one size fits all" template and it may be that they have longer stocks or a better answer? Mr.C
don't they do extension spacers? Those with a thicker recoil pad might be the way to go.
foxbuster
Thanks for the replies guys. It needs to be quickly fitted/removed, I won’t be using the pard in daylight so would want to slip the extension on when I attach the pard. I’ve been looking on eBay/amazon at the rubber socks with the extensions but there’s so many of them! Was just wondering if someone on here had bought one and could recommend a good one that will fit securely before I purchase one and find it doesn’t fit well. Thanks guys. Centrepin
I don't particularly like the slip on ones, but I keep one in my bag for use by my daughter when she uses my grandsons gun. I bought a Pachmayer (I think that's the right spelling) as they are supposedly the best. Been useful and I lent it to a nice chap on here also. My advice is if you go that route for the sake of the few extra ££s buy the best.
