enfieldspares
Prime Ministers used to get an hereditary Earldom...Attlee, Macmillan being the last. And now both dead. Attlee's grandson and Macmillan's grandson now hold their titles. After that Douglas-Home, Wilson, Thatcher they got life peerages as mere barons. There's some for whatever took knighthoods such as Heath and Major. I've also heard that HM Queen doesn't want to give Blair one so, therefore, nobody else who is post-Blair can get an honour either! Not Brown, nor Cameron nor the useless May. Brown may get given an "Order of the Thistle" to get him his "K"...Sir Gordon Brown...as being a Scottish honour it avoids the direct question as to why Blair didn't get a "K" also. But Earl, Baron, "K" or not I'm sure that they'll all be doing rather nicely anyway....so I won't be sending any of them then a tenner "to help out".
