migster
Did anyone see the picture in the Daily Mail this morning of the wild boar, fancy meeting up with that while out lamping fox. The was one of the boars that were released by animal rights wallys and are now running riot in the Devon countryside, i wonder how many steaks you would get out of that. Teal
I hope he has it on his ticket! Absolute brute of a thing, I guess I'm probably not the only one wishing the boar lots of success and piglets.

Dunkield
Lucky to have a hand gun on ticket as well That looks very big, are we sure it is a genuine picture?
caeser
Wow, wild boar, one of my favourite meats. I've only had it a couple of times, and that was in Germany and Austria. I'm really envious. What a monster.

Suffolk shooter
This picture was in one of the shooting mags recently as well, or it might have been the basc magazine. In some respects unlucky bloke to have had his stock lost, but on the other hand lucky as he can now organise wild boar shooting at a premium. I'm sure he would have got compensation from his insurance for the act of sheer dimwittedness of the Anti's SS

Suffolk shooter
i was just looking at that pic and i didnt think you could get a pistol on ticket i think its an amarican or german boar and someones takin the micky Nope its definately the guy from the Devon/Cornwall area who had his wild boar population set free by "animal Liberators" beginning of last year. Approx 200 were set Free. 100 were shot or run over and the other 100 or so have yet to be rounded up. I remember him saying that the sows released were pregnant and so there's a good chance that the population is set to grow. SS PS I think the handgun is for protection/humane reasons on the farm. Dunkield
He shouldn't have any too many problems getting the hand gun for humane dispatch. I was under the impression the boar that were released were way smaller than that, maybe they weren't or maybe they have come on a lot in that short time I don't know how quickly they grow to be honest, down there the red deer grown fairly huge, so I guess the boar could do the same? Dirty Harry
I'm not sure it's a handgun. Might be a knife with a curved blade/grip. Grip don't look right for a pistol. Harry
fullbore
It's possible, and a number of stalkers already have handguns on ticket for humane dispatch where a high velocity rifle would be dangerous, a number of vets with zoo clients also so the farmer of wild boar getting one would be a doddle
