But as you ask Churchill but before my time. Yes the vast majority have been awful but that doesn't make it acceptable. There are some decent MP's with common sense that never get a look in, Steve Baker I would like to see run the country. Okey, then for arguments sake, let’s say I’m accepting incompetence. However, if I am it’s because I am totally indifferent to who does what in the scheme of things. I have lived through quite a few PM’s now, and no matter what party they represent they are all, without exception, egotistical hypocritical liars who will do whatever it takes to win your vote and stay in power. I would say Churchill was up there in my top three as PM actually, who rallied and stirred the populace with the British Bulldog spirit when the country needed it during WW2. Pity he couldn’t have done the same as First Lord of the Admiralty during WW1 when his decisions cost the lives of 1000’s of Allied troops during Gallipoli and the Dardanelles. You and your family would be best served by you concentrating on how you can survive and thrive ( in one of the most modern and wealthiest countries in the world ) rather than looking for someone to blame for what you perceive as being responsible for your financial predicament. Weihrauch17
I am not in a financial predicament thanks funds go up and down all the time, not that it is any of your business! I simply hate to see the country and economy being wrecked by Johnson for everybody's sake. His handling of the economy is off the scale awful. You live in the Lakes come and have a look round Burnley if you think we are a modern and wealthy country, not all of us are as lucky as you to be protected from mass immigration and it's consequences by where we live. Excuse me! 😀 You were the one having a spat about how your pension was being affected! I genuinely couldn’t care less about pensions or the FTSE. 🙂

Even when handguns were banned I was quids in; no longer able to keep my handguns obviously, but from a financial point of view well in profit. 🙂

OK, the " half the population" was an exaggeration as a fair percentage of the UK male population was excused duties for whatever reason and the last national serviceman marched off the parade square in 1963. Back then everyone knew that playing murder ball in the NAAFI when a billiard ball went through the odd window was treated and punished as hooliganism. The identical happening in the Officers' Mess was put down to high spirits. This typifies the situation regarding one rule for - you get my drift - which it always has been, is and always will be so just accept it and move on. Mass immigration via dinghies? That's down to Macrons intranscience and exploiting yuman rights issues which Boris is doing what it takes to shove it up Frances posterior - but it takes a lot of time to muscle it through and not resign because woke wets demand it. Paying farmers not to grow is replacing what the EU provided farmers with. This was going on before the food crisis and will take time to sort: we've seen what rushing things through did with Covid 19. Nett zero - I'm with you on that but we had to be doing something, unfortunately a war came at a bad time for seeing that through. Its caught out most of the world who are trying to reduce global warming, though not affecting those who aren't.
