snarepeg
Just picked up a Remington 1100, in?????????? 410. 3inch chambered full choke and handles like a dream, just ran a batch of reloads thru it 3 inch with 10 grains of steel powder to 14 grams 7s and ran flawlessly. Happy days are here again😊😊
Scully
Sounds grand. I’ve owned several Remington shotguns ( and a couple of rifles ) but never an 1100. An old boy and his two sons used to frequent an old clay ground locally which is sadly no longer on the go. The sons had 1100 12 bores but their Dads was .410. He was never outgunned. Yes, very underestimated, shot a Remington 870 pump in 410 and straitened skeet quite often with it, gave it away to a friend for his sons in a moment of stupidity. looking forward to some clays on Sunday👍

222mark
What's it choked at John? I've been using 5/8 ounce of 7 shot over 16 grains SP3, devastating on crows.
Stephen-H
There is a remington 870 wingmaster pump action in 410 at nevilles guns in Derbyshire if anyone is after something similar to the above
222mark
Better gun actually than the 1100. Will cycle anything 2, 21/2 or 3 inch and they are indistructable.

gmm243
I had an 1100 years ago.Shot very well with it but it was very fussy with what it would cycle.Had to use at least 32gm and usually 36gm for it to cycle every time. There was a game bore shell which seemed to work very well ,not sure what it was but it was a 28gm 7.5 with a "Gordon's system" stamped on the shell head. Once got a right and left at woodcock with those (if you can get a r &l with an auto) I then moved to a heavy barrel 1187 which worked fine but very heavy to carry if needed to be used as anything other than a hide gun.Traded that in for a 870 pump and eventually changed that for a Sporting clays 1187 which I still have.Shoot well with it and it cycles well with most shells including some 24gm.Used it on crows yesterday and had 61.The only issue is that the wooden forend has developed a split in it. I always hankered for an 1100 in 410 but they are like hens teeth. I always found the Remington autos for being the best handling shotguns compared with any other semi autos. 222mark
Had a 1100 .410 skeet model a few years back but always found the wingmaster a better gun. Less finicky.
snarepeg
Just back, and it never missed a beat, the misses were mine. pattened it 25 yards and very tight even pattern. shot down the line and broke clays at 40 yards. shot sporting and skeet without a problem, left room score wise to beat next time.😊 so relaxing no recoil, very quite compared to 12 guage happy with what I hit and not upset with the misses, back to reloading some more. Nice one John. Back where you belong with a .410. Word has it the best bird ever shot on Finningley Park was a 60 yrd partridge by you with a .410. One I'll never forget that one Mark, English at that, gale force wind came over little bomb having been saluted by a few 12 bores, it dropped 30/40 yards away, and an audiance to clap for it. Happy days😊👍
