Conor O'Gorman
Please take part in a vital piece of research which seeks to establish the economic, environmental and social impact of deer stalking and all other shooting disciplines in the UK. The Value of Shooting study is being supported by 24 shooting and countryside organisations and the findings will update and expand upon previous reports published in 2006 and 2014. The research covers all forms of shooting, from live quarry to target shooting and requires responses from shoots, shooters, shooting businesses and those who take part in shooting in some way but don’t shoot (e.g. beaters, pickers up, coaches and volunteers). The results of the study will be published in summer 2023 and will be used to lobby government and influence policymakers by quantifying the contribution made by the shooting sector in this country. Scully
I completed this last night. It’s long and boring, and takes a bit of thinking about, but worth it I think. At the end you have a chance to put in your own words what shooting means to you, and how important it is in your life. For me ( and the majority of my shooting friends ) shooting is a way of life, it gives me immense pleasure and when in the company of other like minded people gives me a great sense of place and enjoyment. The sad thing is, those same majority of friends won’t even contemplate filling this in. I would be absolutely lost without my shooting. Genghis
I completed the ‘full version’, but it felt like a lot of questions were repeated with different verbiage.
