Vince Green
If you go to Eastern Europe vodka is the name for all kinds of spirits. We had "vodka" that looked and tasted like brandy. Cherry vodka and some weird stuff with caramel and herbs
Walker570
I have used a few different fruits with vodka to good effect so I must try the elderberry this year if I can find some.

Diver One
I tried a bottle of cheap Aldi Brandy and two jars of stem ginger ( cut very small) including the syrup. Frighteningly good, and as a bonus I mixed the resultant Brandy infused ginger with some plain chocolate! Even better!! must start some Xmas infusions, may even try the 🌶 version, at least the wife won't drink it
