tulkyuk
Be very careful - sounds like he's trying to move in on your patch. have a word with the farmer and tell him you'll sort the geese out, otherwise he may think your not doing your job and give the shooting rights to this other bloke. Piebob
If he knew it was "your" ground he should have asked you rather than gone straight to the farmer. I'm with tulkyuk, have a word with the farmer.
Cranfield
In fairness, a lot of us have to share shooting with other people and very few of us can claim exclusive rights. I wouldn't say anything to the Farmer/Landowner about him giving someone else permission, he might just remind you who's land it is. You say he has asked for one day, if thats all he has then its no big thing. If he gets regular permission, then it might be sensible to have a word with him to sort out who goes and when, so you both don't spoil each others shooting. twelvebore
I agree 100% with Piebob and Tulkyuk, talking with the farmer is your best option.
auto culto
I'd also mention to him in passing that he may loose some trade if other shooters find out what a **** he's being.
charlie 1
I agree with what has been said. talk to the farmer and if it still stays then you should get to know the other blokes so you can sort out shooting when and where. this is what i have and sometimes it can work better, but it depends on what the other people are like. let us know what happens charlie
Dave-G
Try goose clearing yourself on a much more frequent basis - hopefully there will be nothing for his customers to shoot so it falls flat for him. You may just manage to make them gun shy enough if you make enough noise to spoil the day for him and his buddies - which still does the job for the farmer - unless money is passing hands of course
v-max
Hello & cheer's for replie's.I have spoke to the farmer this morning & told him im not happy as it is taking sport from me.He has said ok & i said for safty sake i need to know of anybody who wishes to shoot but would prefere if all went through me in future & he is happy to do so.I thought it was just me but it look's like you agree with me.The field in question is a stubble & the geese go in every year for 2-3day's & i leave them as they are slaughterd in this area & im past them day's & quite like the consevation side.
