I very much doubt that you would have been as restrained as I was, I asked several times before losing it and even then didn't  hit him. Sometimes some morons only listen to those willing to consider a stronger warning.

I believe the biggest issue in this country with dogs is the overcrowded population, there have always been reactive dogs, badly trained dogs and other issues, including farm dogs, that as a child I learned very quickly to avoid or risk getting a nip as I tried to walk past. The biggest problem today is too many people, not enough space and a less tolerant society IMHO.
