That's the cartridge overall length and it tends to vary between bullet makes and weights which means you will be seating bullets to a different depth. Jimbo yorks Posted January 30, 2023 Report Share Posted January 30, 2023 Seating depth for each bullet is different depending on length but all should be under the CIP or SAMMI max length. Personally throw it out the window and get a bullet comparator it allows you to measure the ogive. seat the bullet off the lands 10 thou and once you have your powder charge adjust in 5 thou increments back untill you hit the sweet spot. It's alot more consistent and accurate than measuring the coal. Bullet to ogive (BTO) is the way most people do it now. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
