I have a Beretta 300 with a short stock and fitted with a Kick-eeze pad. The stock length is under 14". My Grandsons have used that gun since the age of 13 onwards and my 2 Grandaughters aged 36 and 24 use it now, without issues. It cycles 24 gram cartridges and its weight is 7lbs 2ozs. I did use a Beretta 20 bore when they were all younger, but got them onto the 12 as soon as practicable. I shot last weekend with a group of Ladies, all using 12 bores of one variety or another, they used a variety of cartridges from 21 to 28 gram. The biggest mistake is letting a lady use a gun with too long a stock, ie. the 'Boyfriends gun'. That is a recipe for disaster ! They CAN be a bit ammunition fussy though, I know because I had one. The Remington that is, NOT Bamfords !
