caspertguk
Use mine all the time, Put a couple of gutted skinned rabbit's in it and cover with water and a chopped onion, slow cook over night, Drain off stock (make sure you keep it) and then clean the bones of the meat. Add stock and rabbit back into the pot, add a bit more onion some peppers carrots chilli's and potatoes and slow cook again all day while you are at work. Come home hey presto lovely rabbit soup before you go out in the cold again to go get some more rabbit's.

vole
I think you have to be careful to not add too much fluid or it can go watery with all the veg moisture.Great for curries too.Nice to come home to the smell of home cooking even if it is all done by me. cleaner4hire
this is tasty - sorry no measures i just lend to chuck in what seems about right! Beef cubed Red wine (good quality - makes all the difference) carrots mushroom (usually chestnut) shallots celery streaky bacon garlic (i leave the cloves whole but my missus likes it finely chopped) beef stock thyme bay leaves Brown the beef cubes and bacon. Chop veg and mushrooms Chuck everything into slow cooker Add wine and stock (normally 2:1) Cook (6 hours normally) If it seems too thin add a little plain flour Easy peasy

Then, mother-inlaw sees it and I havent seen it since, and thanks to the wife I have to get a new one cause ------------------MAMMY LIKES IT!!! She never knew what slow cooking was, her trick was to boil the sh-t out of every thing . Why should I have to get another one regards ronan
