harrycatcat1
I was just wondering what folks used to keep up the appearance of their black stove/logburner/ multifuel burner? We've had ours since 2016 and the top has a few stains where I put pans on to heat water etc. Do folks use stove polish or paint? Thank you. harrycatcat1
Does anyone use stove polish ? I am not sure that I can be trusted with a spray can. Last time, 48 years ago, I hand painted a white Mk 1 cortina with purple paint. I didn't like it so sprayed it with aerosol black paint and it all crazed and run 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Gameking
Hotspot do the same stuff you paint on . I have used this before - you do not have the problem of overspray damaging the decor ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310470748022?epid=1407706774&hash=item48497fa776:g:tf4AAOSw7V1jTxxx&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4I9sZPzTEGz35tmgS4pns3KF6Tsju3YpbyzY1ReijY9gQsR5A7IIkmWxYrJMM70xacKWaVPHktAoZhMzQLa25BS92r6y9OC%2FnWsMkd6w2Y3PvvS0uXhc6HX%2BeVpNGDe217CYUMyaTcNIEolcSRVvXKfZoF3Nnnjqgid4xJu%2Bftf%2FhxD6U7DiUXrdqXwYZczOSNhZKHMl0B5we1NV5AwWMRowkmJ0NXYpA0fZHpldUd9JPfzG0e0Qb%2F%2B%2BjcwfnnWZ5IxFKNqjcvBAq2jAU0x%2B4n2KQwj0KDLIdxWRGuBbFSDf|tkp%3ABFBMosGe2fVh

wisdom
Zebrite is really good polish but as ditchman pointed out on the first lighting it stinks then it's fine. That's what I used to use.but I think there is a cheaper alternative.

enfieldspares
Motorcycle "bike pot paint". Works well and the heat it has to stand from a bike engine will be the same, or greater, that the outside of your stove will generate. The one I use isn't Halford's bu they sell a similar own brand product. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-and-body-repair/specialist-and-decorative-paints/halfords-v-high-temperature-engine-enamel-paint-matt-black-250ml-325019.html?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Motoring>Motoring+Products>Paints+and+Body+Repair>Specialist+and+Decorative+Paints-_-Motoring>Motoring+Products>Paints+&+Body+Repair>Specialist+&+Decorative+Paints-_-325019&_$ja=tsid:|cid:18024785404|agid:|tid:|crid:|nw:x|rnd:18293775244690354514|dvc:c|adp:|mt:|loc:9046166&gclid=CjwKCAjwrpOiBhBVEiwA_473dPFBNbFUhg7VhnMmhRyPNbD9zMzbHtsdwoG-S55is2OHlISa-igWixoC6zcQAvD_BwE Edited April 23, 2023 by enfieldspares
