Lloyd90
If someone bumps/hits you or someone reverses into someone else / or into farm machinery in a shoot car park (not a formal commercial shoot, just a DIY job) … can the parties involved still claim off their insurance? Or is insurance only valid on the public highway etc?

JKD
Would the finer claim details not be in your policy small-print ?
London Best
I foolishly managed to reverse my Land Rover into someone’s Audi whilst in a field out shooting. The claim went through my insurance no problem (NFU Mutual).

On a recent claim I had they wanted me to go on a GPS map and note the location.
TIGHTCHOKE
So go on to a map and make it clear where you were. Your cover will have some conditions which you should look for. But they should accept the case.
Old farrier
Give them the map details and then they can decide very few policies will pay out off road unless you have specific coverage (it costs) if your insurance company doesn’t offer the right coverage then sadly dig deep smile and pay up mine with the nfu does cover me off road

I don’t recall them asking, but I remember telling them exactly what and where the situation was. I also remember my renewal going up 50%, which I paid, but then they had the cheek to want even more the following year when I was expecting some no claims re-instating. End of a twenty year relationship.
