JDog
Out and about this morning I saw two ducks in a splash due to overnight rain. They were a pair, smaller than Mallard and larger than Teal. The male seemed to be a ruddy colour and a lighter eye stripe. When I tried to get closer they flew off only to land in a tree! I have never seen such behaviour. Any ideas? marsh man
Could well be a pair of Gadwall , not so sure about landing in a tree though , can't see them being Woodcock as you have seen them many times before at close range .
