Nublue 22
Well Stoke on Trent city council have just introduced a traders parking permit, this is so they can park out side the homes of folk that want jobs doing. Jonathan Gullis MP for North Staffordshire thinks it a wonderful idea and will get those little jobs sorted, thing is it's going to cost you, (wait) £400.00 a year. Oh, your van will be broken in to or stolen if you leave it unattended.

oldypigeonpopper
Hello, i am sure these City Councils much like Oxford and even Town Councils have a Think Tank department where they look at every aspect of Council spending and Council needing , then find a way of charging more money to local people as mentioned with the Trent parking permit , Ultimately the £400 will be added to customer bills which may stop people from hiring a local trader, Oxford City have just put a car park with a few spaces used by a Boat Club into a full public car park just to get more money, 🤔 ,
TIGHTCHOKE
Well if it stops the tradesmen filling all the parking places with their overlarge transit vans it can possibly be a good idea.

Where do they park now? 1 hour ago, Nublue 22 said: your van will be broken in to or stolen if you leave it unattended. And avoid this? Ultrastu
Just to let you know .if I can't park very near to a job I don't take it .its that simple .tools in and out the van constantly .and always a mind on security .most trades men won't even try and drive and park in City centres . The risks to reward isn't worth it . This is what the councils want less cars and traffic = less trade and loss of business and lively hoods. And they then wonder why crime goes up .🤪
