bunny_blaster
I’m after a subsonic .410 load using 2, 2.5 or 2 3/4” cases. Doesn’t need to be a particularly heavy load as it’s just for shooting rats out to 7/8 yards in the garden mostly under that range. 12/14 grams of 7 or 8 shot would be ideal. I have tubs of SP3 and Alliant steel powder so was wondering if that would be of any use. Can be either plastic or fibre wad. Thanks Ben
London Best
2 inch 9 gram loads will kill rats a lot further than 8 yards. Use 9’s if you can get them.
bunny_blaster
9 shot is fine. I just need some load data for them
pigeon controller
Perhaps a 9mm garden gun would do the job and it’s an excuse to buy another gun!! This was my choice around the chicken pen many moons ago.

AND with the price of pellets it might be cheaper to pack shoot them with a 12 bore. Edited May 11 by Minky
