I had pigeon in London for dinner while at a conference, poached in port with redcurrants and capers :yp: YUM YUM £27.50 Well the company was buying, but I couldn't help but feel ripped off when my local dealer only coughs up 40p a bird!!!

WE SHOULD MAKE A STAND!!! (They probably buy em in France anyway!!)

He might give 40p a bird but he only takes the woodies and only the plump ones. Out of a 50 bag, he might have 20 if i'm lucky. The rest get de-breasted and frozen. He has any rabbits for a £1-£1.50 depending on size. He sells for £3.50 but as long as it pays for the cartridges I'm not too bothered.

Elma, Ern, I live on the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire/Northamptonshire borders, and could only dream about having enough birds to take to a dealer. They must be bypassing my land to get to yours. :(

:D Browning, i hope my post didn't give you the idea that i drive down the M1 to the gamedealer every week.

:( The last trip was back in October.
