Malmo Guns

supatex - I suspected that you wouldn't post the names of the shops. You were happy to cite them when you were panning Malmo.

You posted on a public forum. Why should any reply be in private?

Right I'm sick of this now.I didn't pan Malmo guns.I quoted an experience I had with them. The story is,(Ive never been to Malmo guns by the way and everybody tells me how good they are which I believe) ,a friend of mine who I go clay pigeon shooting with uses a twenty bore. He's been using Hull pro 20's which he was finding very inconsistent (hope I'm not going to be panned by Hull pro 20 lovers now). Another friend suggested that he try Cheddite cartridges, as he'd bought some from Malmo guns. He'd called in on his annual trip to Scotland and bought some. He thought Malmo guns was a fantastic shop. My friend wanting the cartridges asked if I'd contact Malmo guns for him to see who they supplied them to nearer to where we lived. I TELEPHONED them and as the Phone seemed to be permanently engaged, I emailed them to ask if they supplied any to local gun shops in our area. I have had no reply to this email or a further 2 attempts. We have asked around local gunshops and been given the information I have posted before. I don't use Cheddite cartridges  and Malmo guns is too far for my mate to travel. We've got a good relationship with the gun shops in our area who have expressed that Malmo guns don't seem to want to distribute Cheddite cartridges to them so I don't want to spoil my relationship with my local gun shops but unlike some people on this forum, if my local gun shops had acted in the same way to them as Malmo has I would accept that sometimes service from where ever isn't always perfect and if some of you think that I have PANNED Malmo guns, then you are not living in the real world. They are obviously a great shop most of the time

I always believed this forum allowed it's members to freely express their experiences and opinions, this obviously isn't the case. I'm going to leave this now so enjoy your shooting, best regards

You did pan Malmo.

Never been to malmo guns but they can't be bothered to answer my emails, also they are supposed to be the UK distributer of Cheddite cartridges but they don't seem to want to send them to other gun shops. No praise from me I'm afraid.

Also on 3 occasions at 3 separate gun shops, I have asked if they can get cheddite cartridges from malmo guns they have all come up with the similar answer, ie, they are unreliable at supplying them and we keep having to let down customers who have asked for them.

Describing a supplier as unreliable is a panning. If you don't think it is, we live on different planets.

You then refuse to name the shops who have allegedly said Malmo are unreliable, but modify this to :-

gun shops in our area who have expressed that Malmo guns don't seem to want to distribute Cheddite cartridges to them

There is a big difference to "don't seem to want to distribute" and "unreliable".

You have expressed your opinion freely, as have I. I am in the dark as to why you say "this obviously isn't the case".

I have no problem praising good gun shops or criticising bad shops, but find it hard to ignore vague references to three shops, when you won't back up what you say.

I too will leave it there.

Wasn’t going to reply Gordon but if you think that’s a panning then you’ve never had one. What would you do with the names if I gave you them . I can only think of 2 reasons why you would want them

1/ you don’t believe me and you want to check them yourself

2/ You want to give the names to Malmo guns like a good little boy. Bet you were a right telltale at school. Grow up Gordon and just accept the world is not the perfect place you want to live in.

It's ok Shaun, that's me done,I just can't be part of something like this. All I was trying to do was be helpful, both to my mate to try to find where he could get some cheddite cartridges in yorkshire when the only importer is Malmo guns and also some help from people on here who deal with Malmo as to why they seem to be reluctant to supply other gun shops.I've never dealt with Malmo guns as they are too far away from where I live but I've always heard good things about them so I was surprised at having no reply from them and the reasons from other gunshots as to why they can't get cheddite cartridges. What do I have to do to leave this forum. Best wishes to the majority of great members on here. All the best

shaun4860 - I thought the discussion was over as we had both agreed to leave it there. Sadly some cannot let go.

I have to say that the tone of the last posts, since supatex said he was done, were a bit juvenile.

I will post no further.

Thanks lads, I've been on this forum for a number of years and I must admit in that time I've not  contributed much post wise, but I read the forum every day. The great majority on this forum are great people and I've had great advice and information from many of you. But what happens on this forum is like this :- 100 people can go to a restaurant and 99 of them can have a fantastic meal, but 1 person doesn't. That doesn't mean the restaurant is a bad restaurant, it's obviously a very good one. Most of the 99 who've had a good meal will accept that some can have a bad meal and consider his/her views relevant, but a small minority of the 99 people who've had a good meal won't accept the person who's had a bad meal's views, they consider him or her a liar. My observations over the years on here have led me to the conclusion that this happens on this,(and other forums). I'm sure many people on here do not contribute due to the fear of being shouted down by the few. You people who shout others down know who you are, or do you. Maybe you go through life thinking your views are correct and there's no other relevant opinions but maybe those around you do not hold the opinions of you that you think they do. Things are not always black or white as you believe but many shades of grey but you just can't see it.

It is with regret that I want to leave this forum, yes I could just stop using it but that still would leave me open to abuse. Thank you to the great majority of you. All the best for the future, good bye and good luck.
