So, at what point do you decide to prosecute or not. Is parking not breaking the law, is speeding not breaking the law  ?  Do there have to be multiple offences, or is just 1 occasion sufficient  ?  IF you are going to apply the 'sack him, sack him' approach, surely it has to be across the board, with no exceptions  ?

With regards to the YouTube video., I think you know as well as me, they are not even scratching the surface of Blue Badge abuse. Councils are merely paying lip service to that abuse. They do not have the manpower to deal with the issue properly.  My local Council have ONE parking attendant to cover the entire Borough, he comes around to our local shops every Tuesday.  It does not take a rocket scientist to work out what mayhem ensues on the other days of the week.

I know you are not a daft person, and you know full well that there is a difference between picking up a parking ticket or speeding fine, and going out time and time again to commit fraud, this officer deliberatly on multiple occassions commited fraud.

I'm out of this.

When did you EVER see anyone prosecuted for the misuse of a blue badge, certainly NOT  fined or jailed

https://www.bedford.gov.uk/BlueBadgeMisuse

Nasharie Oluwa, 35, of Ethelred Lane, Great Denham, pleaded guilty in writing at Luton Magistrates’ Court to one offence of misusing a Blue Badge.

The Mercedes A Class had been parked in Greyfriars Car Park on Friday 26 May 2023. Oluwa, who should have £2 paid for parking, was ordered to pay a fine of £217, costs of £675, and a victim surcharge of £87.

I think you'll find prosecutions for Blue Badge fraud are quite common.

2023   ?

I think you would find the abuse far outweighs the prosecutions.

You do know prosecutions can take months to get to court?

I was merely answering your assertion that you never see anyone prosecuted for Blue Badge offences, when in reality it's quite common.

Here's some more...

https://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/news/2024/four-more-people-prosecuted-parking-fraud      I could go on.

You seem to be of the opinion, like those who commit these offences, that it's somehow a trivial matter, it's not, it's taken very seriously by the authorities and rightly so.

I'm sure you're right, even more reason to come down hard on offenders, even more so when they're in positions where they should be upholding the law, not breaking it.

I don't gamble, so I would not know. I'm still of the belief, it is not a sacking offence. There are people who are in much higher office than him, a lot have been voted into their posts, who blatantly abuse those positions EVERY single day. Nothing is ever done or said, it is just accepted as being 'normal practice'.

Agreed but sadly that is no excuse?

May I suggest that it is you that is 'twisting things'. When did you EVER see anyone prosecuted for the misuse of a blue badge, certainly NOT  fined or jailed. I have NOT implied that he did not break the law, but if you are going to apply that literally across the board, Police Officers should be sacked for a parking offence.......or am I 'twisting' that too  ?

Mm, to maybe clarify? There is so much driving surveillance here that it's entirely possible to lose your driving licence in a 3 mile stretch due to.a compilation of offences, along with that most likely would be your FAC as you would have become unsuitable to possess?
