12 bore Rizzinni O/U shotgun free to a S2 license holder

Recommended Posts

Had this gun over 20 odd years.

I need the space so letting her go for free as it needs some work doing. After the second shot, the barrels become hard to free. No rust etc. Comes with x4 chokes and choke key. LOP is about 14 half inches. 27" barrels. Plus fibre optic front bead. Great little pigeon hide gun.

Located in Northampton

I had a Rizzini E ,same problem with it after a few shots very hard to break the barrels, took it to a gun smith , something to do with the firing pins there very soft, was told only dry fire it with snap caps in .

Had this myself in a past gun..

Most obvious one is a firing pin will have a tiny burr underneath almost like a barbed fishing hook so it doesn't retract when fired. Sticking into the cartridge primer.

Do You have to break the gun over your knee to open it?

If so it's likely to be that.

Take off the barrels and look.

If you can see the pin has a burr use a small needle file or Dremel to smooth off.

Takes 10 mins. Hope this helps either you or whoever collects.  Also try used cartridges with primers removed and just pull the trigger. See if it sticks.

👍👍👍👍
