marsh man
After a long day out in the cold I was looking forward to a nice hot cooked meal , so the spiced Lamb came into play and if I am honest it was far to spice'y for my liking , while eating I was sweating , mind you I did have my heating on and still had my two jumpers on , the meal was fine but I would not buy it again even if it was reduced less than what I paid for it , still I done more than I wanted and my dog licked the plate clean . Next week I will try Pheasant breast casserole , I have even added the photo of the very bird that will be cooked , my dog picked it up so he is entitled to a part of the proceedsΒ
ditchman
when you do your pheasant....leave the skin and fat on and cut the breasts and thighs....dont use the legs........fry them ....add them to the slow cooker.....fry a finely chopped onion up ..half fry that in the samepan ...and mix up a red wine knorr stock pot in 1/2 pint of boiling water and pour that in with the onions....simmer for a while....pour into the slow cooker....add a tablespoonful of redcurrant jelly...or cranberry sauce...and cook until the meat is nice and tender......... do your vedge....take your meat out of the slow cooker and if you want the gravy thicker ...add a teaspoonful of cornflouer to half a cup of cold water and mix and add to gravy in the slow cooker...stir well ...add salt if you think it needs it... My dog is a very good game finder but like me his best days are now behind him , he is over 10 and get stiffness in his front legs , the bird in his mouth was a runner and he was just not fast enough to catch him on the open ground , the bird ran into a bit of cover and this was where my dog had the advantage , he soon got wind and the birds days were numbered , it was only winged so I thought I would have it for myself , after a dull start the sun at long last came out but the temp never got above 6 degrees . Yes, you're probably right π My GF's springers get egg on their 'tea', and olive oil too,,,, at different times. The older two are 11 and still have amazing coats and don't look their age π They also have a breakfast of weetabix, or similar product, with goats milk every day π Oh, and they get the leftovers from decent home cooked dinners etc ππ

They are working to a certain degree but nowhere near as they should , still it is not a major concern and I am just about maintaining my weight , hopefully if I have a better year next year I might put on a little which should help to keep the cold out , yesterday it wasn't that cold but I felt it while standing about , once on the move i was alright , another one this Friday and that is it till after Christmas Β Me ole dog tend to slide through the water rather than swim , Pets At Home have ran out of Black polish so next week he might look a nice Brown shiny dogΒ 10 hours ago, ditchman said: you've been using ACME Doggo polish on him again....... 4 hours ago, mel b3 said: Your dog is shinier than a cavalry officer π.
