Morning all & best wishes for the Season.

My youngest has seen one of the above & just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them? It’s obvs a second hand but with a private seller & I won’t be able to go to see it with him (he is looking at it whilst staying with his Sister in Surrey over the New Year), so just wondering if, apart from the usual, there is anything he should look out for? It’s a reasonable price so my view is that if it needs taking to a gunsmith to sort then the £150/300 added to the price still makes it sub £1k🙈

Bear in mind that most older English guns were 2 1/2" chambered.  This does restrict the available ammunition.  With lead this was something to "be aware of" as nthere was plenty of choice in 2 1/2 lead.

However, at present anyway, 2 1/2 in steel is not very widely available.

It is something to think over.
