CaptC
Large cage trap baited with some smelly fish, large Fenn trap(s) shotgun if safe or a good PCP? If you catch one may I warn you that they are viscious beggers!
islandgun
I have caught 100's over the years....Live catch trap or traps, fish bait or mink lure [google]. Dig in or cover the trap make sure the bait is right in the back and the treadle is set very light. where there is one there will be more. dispatch with airgun or

Scully
Fenn traps work well but are indiscriminate; squirrel traps or any live catch trap work well too. We buried corrugated tin sheets ( edge on ) about a foot into the ground to stop anything getting to ours. Works well, but it can be a constant battle.
