Hawke lrf 600 ?.

Hi gang.

             I've got one of these and when i look through it i can see what i'm looking at. But if i press the off button i can still see through it as if it 

               doesn't shut off but the modes are working ok. I thought by pressing the off button i wouldn't be able to see through it. Is this right ?.

Tried this and it's the same. Must be what scarecrow and Newbie said.

Im in agreement with the other gents, I have the 400 version and the way I would explain it is that it’s like looking through a window when off and then when turned on it has superimposed/ digitally displayed bits (aim circle/lines, distance numbers etc )within the viewing area
