oldypigeonpopper Posted Wednesday at 08:43 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 08:43 Hello, By the time you pay for a Battery replacement for a bit more £ssss you can buy a new i Pad, PS if you put out for the Bin make sure you clear out all your stored info,
TOPGUN749 Posted Wednesday at 08:58 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 08:58 If you use it at home why not just keep the charge cable connected? I have a 2016 Apple ipad the battery lasts about 3-4 hours now,was about 7 hours, but with the cable connected it’s fine. Different if a mobile phone of course! Red carp Posted Wednesday at 09:07 Author Report Share Posted Wednesday at 09:07 That’s it 4 hours & it’s dead 👍 I won’t bother looking into new battery once it goes worse I’ll scrap it 👍
JohnfromUK Posted Wednesday at 10:26 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 10:26 Depends how old it is. It it is sufficiently old that the latest updates to iOS aren't available I would not renew the battery. If however - it is still getting regulary updates I would certainly look at the price of just doing the battery. Note that there are new versions of iPad due out in the next month or two (I think to be announced today?)

I was tidying the man cave and found my old iPad. I couldn’t remember password to restore factory settings, but was concerned about binning it possibly with personal data on it. Fortunately Apple retail just up the road. Booked a session with an engineer who understood my concerns. He did the business and the took it for salvage. That was this morning. He said an announcement was due on new products today.

ph5172 Posted Wednesday at 21:37 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 21:37 If you think it’s not worth the cost and we’re going to bin it why not try replacing it yourself using the many YouTube videos. you will only have the cost of the battery and a wasted rainy afternoon to lose
