I shot a summit, the same action, but the Magnus just has bling side plates iirc. I really liked it, a lot, mine was the impact version, I'm looking for the ascent version, I might get the Invictus platform, but tbh the summit was so nice to shoot I'd happily get another one. Triggers were good, one on mine were very light, possibly too light. Standard chokes were smoking targets if I did my side correctly. Finish and feel felt above average and for me the grip dimensions were perfect. Mine was circa 2010 and was tight as a drum. Only real issue is most 32" guns are 9lb ish so I'll probably go 30",

Tbh I'd always dismissed them, but I think they're much better than people perceive them to be.

Currently shoot a '22 summit ascent... Love it, super reliable and being taller the adjustment and rib is great.

Prior to the summit I looked at the Magnus and it was a very pretty thing indeed. Caesar/Anglo Italian customer service is ridiculously good with great 'while you wait' servicing near Solihull.

It'd take some serious 'B Gun' to tear me away from cg

I’ve just bought a s/h summit ascent (same action as you know ) it’s a 2018 in as totally as new condition , 30” feels best for me , picked up a 32 but was a little too slow swinging for me , love shooting head up position with the raised rib and semi Monte Carlo , feels really good quality , I will concur light trigger pulls but probably to used to old berettas , the Caesar is certainly crisper trigger,

I bought a 30" summit ascent yesterday, just got to sort the paperwork out, I now have to send my licence to the shop for them to sort then RFD the gun to my local.

I was looking at an Invictus but decided I liked the summit impact I had before so couldn't justify the additional expenses. Looking forward to shooting it
