Can someone clear this point up for me:-

I have been asked to fettle some nuisance Canada geese that are messign about on some farmland I shoot over...........

Does the restriction of lead shot apply for these...........even they are no where near water?:good:?

thanks

you may shoot a pheasant using lead flying across a river ,.....but you cannot shoot a goose/duck flying across a ploughed field using lead shot in england

Not if the area is an SSSI though, you have to use non toxic for everything on there or if the shot is likely to fall on one.

The logic is in policing the ban. If you say no lead in wildfowl then you can take action if any are found shot with lead. Then you can't have the argument that they weren't shot over water.

thanks for the replys...............................al4x.....you avatar is very good :good:

in the words of Winsten Churchill "....so close..............................yet so far............."
