I am looking for some "African" music, heavy drums, chanting, that sort of thing.

The stuff you hear as a soundtrack on the safari wildlife programmes.

Anyone have any titles, or descriptions I can look for ?

I am finding out that "jungle" ain't what I want . :good:

I believe the wider term is "world music".

Failing that an old BBC sound effect record under the heading Tarzan.

That jailbird, Andy Kershaw, was a advocate for African rhythm. and any search on him show turn up loads of groups

Similarly, Chesney Hawkes is an anagram of Cheesey w**k (if you drop an H).
