vole
Have found it pretty interesting. He didnt seem to bottle it either.Wonder what the soldiers thought of him?
Cranfield
I find it awkward to watch him and hard to take him seriously most of the time, as he seems to be too much like a "professional hard man". He was actually unintentionally funny in that "Ultimate Force" series. I'm sure he is a nice bloke really. :o
vole
Never had any time for most TV ,especially the stuff he features in.I would expect a civilian, above all an actor to fill their pants when bullets are flying so either its heavilly edited or he did pretty well really. ShaggyRS6
I think he does a good job. he must be bricking it when he goes out on Patrol, even if he is sitting on top of a hill. Did you here those rounds whizzing past
leaseone
The rounds can't have been that close if they were wizzing, a near one goes CRACK, been there, done that, got the pension.

AVB
Played rugby against him a few times. He used to take a fair bit of stick, both verbal and physical. Didn't seem to overreact. Also came across him in the BA departure lounge at Mauritius airport. He did look a bit of a **** though trying to disguise himself with a baseball cap and dark glasses. bullterrier
Anything that highlights our military & what it does is good to see, this way the civilian population see what our troops have to do & put up with in far away uncivilised parts of the world. Whether we`re fans of Ross Kemp or not is irrelevant because most of the people who have posted on here have watched & appreciated whats happening in Afghanistan better than if a BBC news reporter just dropped in for a week then left & gave a left wing view of the war over there. My view is hats off to the man for going out there with an open mind & showing it how it is with very little of the twisted left or right (more left than right) of our politics from the regular media. Never watched him on the series Dead Enders, use to bore the tits of you, but on his Gang's/ Afghan programs I see him in a different light. BJ. Totally agree. Have thoroughly enjoyed the series and to actually see the human side of the war and effects it has on the soldiers and families. Makes you appreciate the life we have. vole
Did anyone see what the coroner said about the uk soldiers being outgunned due to lack of kit? The Ross Kemp thing showed them still in Land Rovers.I thought they were going to but those S African vehicles that could protect against bombs? The father of the dead soldier( Cap James Phillipson) puts Mr Brown firmly in his place too.
