Golf retail shops will sell you a 12v 17Ah battery for about £18 or you can get one from a pigeon shooting retailer but I think they maybe alot dearer Jonno
henry d
Try getting in contact with a fire/burglar alarm maintenance firm, they may be able to provide one cheaply, as they replace them on a regular basis rather than when they are dead
radio1ham
shame you not in the north east as i could let you have one of mine but they are 36ah batterys heavy but i dare say would last pretty much all day
anser2
Loads on Ebay for about a tenner plus postage. Make sure you get the right voltage\amp though I made that mistake and ended with a battery a little bigger than a match box They are about £30.00 in my local shops. pin
Just make sure you get a "deep cycle" battery or constant use on the magnet will kill it in a year

pin
Not to knock you taz but those are not designed for deep discharge work, as they discharge you will loose electrolyte to boiling and reduce the life cycle. Depends on what you want really
lurcherboy
Just be quoted £45 for a 17amp/hr batttery after having a fight with the salesman from CEF (nationwide company) he insisted a 1,7 amp/hr battery would do. *******. If anyone does source one of these 'deep cycle' jobs please PM me. LB

Suffolk shooter
Try Screw-fix, I paid £13.50 for a 12v 7AH battery. SS
Cosd
Give Andy Moss a call, £10 for a 12v 7amp battery I get 5 hrs use out of it. He's also got some second hand ones even cheaper than that, so you can get a new and spare second hand one for about £15ish. Not too big or heavy as well.
