Evil Elvis
After attempting to catch a zander and managing it, i went back again to try and get Graham one.....however, Graham caught lots of bream and a pike but alas no zander....i on the other hand: What annoyed Graham, was that I was fishing the swim he blanked in last time....after I gave him first choice!!! Fat Dog
Don't have them over here in Norn Iron. I believe they are a bit of a pack hunter. Sore on the fish populations. Nice looking fish though.
Evil Elvis
They are pack hunters until they get bigger, then they become more solitary, the lake is teeming with roach and bream, cant do them too much harm.

Evil Elvis
what bait were you using hmm1.gif hmm1.gif , because i still cant cath one I wanted a big one so i put on an 8 oz roach, not the little tiny ones people tell you to use. This lake is very unusual in as much as the zander eat sea dead baits too, a feloow next to me had one on a wholeherring....you tired thqat in the fens theyd reach for a straight jacket. i spoke to one fellow whos pb was 14lb and he caught that on half amackerel....shows they can adapt to the food source...apparrently a great bait in there for them is smelt!!!!
