bob300w
Happy St Patricks's day to all my shooting/drinking pals over there in the Emerald Isle, and especially those in Killarney and Ballyvourney. 'fraid it does not apply in this house, it was me wedding anniversary yesterday, guess who forgot it? Quiet around here today though. The Great Cornholio
Bit slow there Henry, St Pat's day celebrations started Friday night! "St Patrick's Day" Strange use of the word "Day" Surely "St Patrick's Days" would be more appropriate! "Holiday" would be a better choice of word, there's an awful lot not going to make it to work untill Wednesday, again!
Pirate
A little while ago, I found an elderly lady laying in B&Q’s car park, not actually badly injured or ill, but had fallen over after putting her disabled husband’s wheelchair in the back of their car, and couldn’t get up. Her disabled husband was sitting in the car, totally unable to help his wife. With his wife now back in the car, and minor grazes attended to, the old fella thanked me and asked my name. What really touched me, was the tears in his eyes as he explained how people had been so kind to them since they became less than able to help themselves, and how they didn’t want to be a burden on anyone! There was no whinging, moaning, or anger at their disposition, and a cheerful wave as they drove away in their wreck of an old car. Made me think just how most of us should count our blessings, especially me! Why post now? Well today, when I returned to my car outside the physio, I found a note under the wipers, thanking me again. Made my St Patricks day!!....
