Kent Game Fair

LB and I found our way there (well I knew where it was, but you are never sure with LB :hmm: ), it was a good Show and well worth the visit.

Paul Hart the nice man was wearing his Pigeon Watch fleece and so LB and I "fleeced" him of a few bargains.

There seemed more people there this year than last IMO.

Another good ferret court, plus the old bloke with his "pre-retirement closing down sale" of seat covers, was there again.

I wonder when his sale ends ?

We were there early and left around lunchtime, before the weather deteriorated.

Hopefully the rain and wind stays away for the lads going tomorrow. :good:

:good: It was nice to meet up with gamesbond and his missus....not a bad attempt at the clays....maybe a new recruit for the essex mafia!!

Cranfeild and lb, i just missed you....I found paul hart and he said you had just left to go home!!!!! Lb i believe was SOBER!!!

I on the other hand wasnt completely....i found the cider stand....if anyone likes scrumpy make sure you partake...it was awsome!!!!

It was a much smaller game fair than the hampshire one that i did last but was good, even bumped into a mate there who lives around the corner in stanford....small world!!!

I was 5th in the clayshoot when i left too!!!!

Well the weather was reasonably kind today, and after getting in from a party early this morning, forgetting about clocks going forward and a 260 mile round trip, I can say that I had a good day.

Met up with Dusk2Dawn to attend to a little business (Cheers Mate, the nets were just what I wanted for a particular hide scenario I have in mind), after taking a bit of a detour through the kent countryside thanks to Bluebell Hill being closed off.

Missus and Kids seemed to enjoy the day, had a good chat with Chris Green "The Cornish Countryman" about both pigeon and wildfowling.

Brought a new type of Goose callthat I hadn't seen before and brought on a whim. Its a Flambeau, "Squeeze Play" that you can attach to your gun, so keeping both hands on the weapon at all time. Damn realistic to, can't wait until the season to see if it works in the field.

Was fairly impressed with the show, good mix of stands with the majority under cover, not too many non shooting/field/country activity stands. Liked the Live Cooking tution stand. Interesting watching the guy joint the venison.

All in all a good day, just need to recover the lack of sleep now.

SS :welcomeani:

I can confirm that LB was sober, but the singing was a bit much.

I can't get the chorus out of my head. :drinks::good:

"I say

Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side

Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side

It a gonna burn, give me music make me jump and prance

It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance"
