joeshaw08
Well, went for a 3 n a half hour drive round today, first time me and my Dad have looked for permissions. We have one but its a two hour round trip so we need something local. The answer from all of the farms we visited was a straight 'no!' or, 'not at the moment...try somebody else!' So got home quite disappointed and decided to pick up the Yellow Pages, after about an hour ringing up finally came across a farm just 10 minutes away. Was delighted when he said he had a big pigeon and rabbit problem (he probably wasnt), and we're going to have a look at it on Saturday Chuffed to bits! tweedledee
i have around 3500 acres to shoot with a dozen farmyards i asked a farmer today who has a big rookery on his land.he said he wanted them for himself .i left a bit gutted because i never had been refused before so i now know what rejection feels like.but i tell you this im going to nail all the crows from his rookery on my other 2 permissions as they are next door to it

joeshaw08
I just said that im looking for somewhere to do abit of pigeon/rabbit shooting, and asked if they were having any problems on their land that they wanted help with. Make it sound like you're doing them a favour for nothing! I was on the phone for a good hour before i came across the one i found...got alot of mixed responses...some blunter than others! I found that the main problem was that there were already people shooting on their land. But keep at it, somebody will say yes eventually.
