I work on the rigs, 12 hour shifts, usually 6-6 days, sometimes do a trip of nights. Rotation normally two weeks on rig and two weeks off, but doing a three on three off at the moment. Often get extended times at home if not required offshore, so frequently get three, four weeks off. Managed to get 8 weeks off from middle October to middle of december last year, which was a struggle. To be honest not always exactly working when on the rig, more like on call if required. Money wise, part salaried and part day rate so I do suffer financially if I have too much time at home. Average about 160 days per year.

My fishing mate has a farm and works a lot of hours. In some ways i envy him his lifestyle. Loads of shooting land, the dairy is right near his house, hard graft in fresh air but he rarely has time to do much. If i come up to do some shooting he can rarely spare the time to join me. Another farmer i know well, i`ve said come along and have a few hours over deeks, i`ll set up just turn up with your gun. He just says he hasnt the time and appreciates the efforts i go too. What you see aint always what you get unfortunately.

My son is a herdsman. Works from 5am-6pm with every other w/end off! so Chunk is right there1

Me,...........I'm RETIRED!!! and loving it!!

When I was younger (and a lot less wiser) I worked on a tenting firm, putting up marquees

for shows, weddings etc. It was nothing back then to do 100 hours a week during peak season.

Now I'm self employed and do the hours I choose. But there's always the dreaded paperwork!!

all this "I work harder than you" **** is gay.

I work as little hours as possible and have other people (staff) making me money. it's called passive income.

the pen pusher vs manual work argument is also ****e. i have done both and there just isnt the hours in the day to be a rich

manual worker. (unless you have people working for you).

oh, and cos I officially earn nothing I pay **** all tax.

suck it up ! :yes::lol::no:

But once we dig deeper I am sure will will find something....

All those corporate shooting days treating Mungler and the gang as 'client entertainments'......

And the curries on expenses.........

The evidence is all there in previous posts.

Nows your chance to come clean

I started a company. Put my own money into it and have been drawing down a directors loan. Nothing illegal or tax avoiding about that...

I did ask my accountant if I could put my Blaser down as "corporate entertainment equipment"

but he wasnt having any of it !!!:yes:

Sarah, I heard that you were a high class escort girl and that you have pocketed your fair share of cash payments in exchange for

happy endings. I hope you have been declaring your ill gotten gains....
