pavman
The variation finally came to allow stepping up from FAC air rifle, 9am sat arrive to get the Sako Quad .17 HMR and bits. In the afternoon went to the pit on my permission to sort the Zero at 50 and 100 yards. A stiff breeze blowing so set the target and fired into the wind to try to cut any drift and bogey zero, a few shots a few clicks down and we are ready to go Was taking Mrs P out sat night so did not have long and a drive round in the light I took the first Bunny at no more than 40 yards……fairly cut up Proceeded round field potting from the Freelander window and ended with 16 at between 50 and 120 yards and only two misses most likely due to the strong cross wind? A happy farmer and a nice start with the new Rifle. Graphic
Axe
Good shooting, what Moderator is that on the end ASE?
njc110381
That target looks like the sort of grouping I usually get Nice shooting though. If that's your first time out with it I'm thinking that once you get used to the gun there isn't going to be much left to shoot

tikkamark
Thats a great start pav You will find the hmr can be fairly sensitive in even the lightest winds best to fine tune the zero on a dead calm day
