Axe
Based on what I have seen of Annie;s, that would be my choice.
tulkyuk
HW60J will shoot side by side with the Annie all day long - its also not as common as the Annie, i have shot both and owned a HW60 - they are both fantastic rifles and will out shot most who use them. German or American - the choice is yours

deadeye ive
I handled a hwj60 and it's currently to date the best by far trigger I have ever used by a long mile .I loved the traditional format of the rifle as well but knew i 'd have to fit a silencer and that would have ruined what was a excellant piece of engineering so I went for a CZ The anshultz 's available at the time looked like the stocks had been made from pallet wood
tweedledee
hw`s are fine rifles,i believe they now come screw cut as standard and the rekord trigger is a legend on its own
plinker
i have a hw60j in hmr and it will shoot alongside an annie any day of the week, better trigger and also can be shortened (mine has 14 1/2" barrel) and still shoots well unlike the 15" annie that has accuracy issues. annies are very good rimfires but not better than the hw60/66. btw the trigger is not the rekord trigger the whole rifle is made by krico, wiehrauch just put there name on it for the uk market. DR JAMES
You allready now my veiws on CZ`s I had the .17HMR and regret selling it thats why i am after another one and i do have the .22lr CZ bolt action which is sweet as nuts. I might at some time have the brooks triger kit fitted but at the mo i am happy with it as it groups well.
