Farma Geddon
Tonight I took a Farmers dad out shooting pigeon. He is about 60 odd and has always wanted to go since he was a lad.I took him a few weeks ago, but it was a wash out.He had a few shots but said he can never hit ought. This time, birds decoyed well and he shot about eight birds. We ended up with 31 in an hour and a half. The bloke was really buzzing. He kept apologising for missing as he thought he was messing my shoot up.I was chuffed to see him connect, and he did some good shots. I have nephews to take out,and my boss, the goal keeper from the local girls team, etc. I am just trying to get people interested in country sports and shoot loads of birds myself,it's a balancing act!So far I am succeeding. njc110381
So you have the keeper from the local girls team to take out, but you took the farmers dad instead Well done on getting him a few shots off though. Hopefully he'll have a go for his SGC, as it's never too late. As for the youngsters, keep up the good work. We need them to keep our sport going and it sounds like you're doing more than your fair share of helping. It's nice to hear about people taking newbies out. If I hadn't met a real good chap off of here I'd still be stuck with an air rifle! It's great to get some help, and I hope to pass on the favour one day too

Yes you are a friendly old bunch from up there in Norfolk. I could possibly take the goal keeper out for a shoot, but it must be before 18.00 hours saturday. Zapp
I know how you feel, I have a queue of people who want to give it a go. I tend to get one session to myself for every 3 showing a newbie the ropes! Still, no interest from the local womens footie goalie yet, though I am taking the Brazillian and Australian womens beach volleyball teams out for a day on the pigeons soon ZB

Farma Geddon
The girl is only 17 and I am 44!! My daughter plays for the same team as well. Shot another 31 tonight after work by myself.Tomorrow I will take a guest somewhere. Everyone around here is referred to as "old bor" ,younguns are called "young ol bor".It is a bit daft, but you soon get the hang of it!
