tuck1 Posted May 25, 2008 Report Share Posted May 25, 2008 Just got back. Not impressed at all. Got there 9.05am, queued for an hour and 20 minutes with the baby screaming. Had a go at all the members of staff I saw about it, eventually they opened another gate up and discounted tickets to £7 quid. I didn't think there was a huge amount there really, (no disrespect to you Paul H, would have liked to have met you for a chat, which was your stand?) and it seemed that the ring events were a shambles, loudspeakers not working etc etc. And getting out again - suffice to say that no one had notified the local plod, so they had no traffic control going on til late on. The result - total gridlock. Shame really, weather was ok, some friends had queued for over 2 hours and called it a day and went home. And half an hour wait for a pint?!!!! They really, really, need to sort it out, as it has great potential. My advice to those going tomorrow. Take patience and a sense of humour.
