horatio2308
hi, i'm 15 and shoot dtl with a krieghoff i have to admit they are damn right ugly and cost over £6000 second hand, but i have not shot a gun like them. I have shot and owned a miroku mk38 a berreta dt10 a berreta 682 a browning ultra xs but they have nothing on the krieghoff, at the moment looking for a new one to replase my 2006 one.
scolopax
I was loading for someone with one (and a winchester!) on a double gun partridge day. He had it hand built, it had already been back to the factory once and that day both the top barrel refused to eject consistently and the stock cracked! Alot to be said for CNC machining IMO. Gordon R
They are a better material copy of a Remington 3200. They are okay for DTL. I don't remember many World Sporting, ISU Skeet, Olympic Trap etc. Champions shooting Krieghoff.

HDAV
Chap who runs my local DTL range has one has had it for years (a few of the other chaps have them and Perazzi etc) Its got a skeleton stock and a RELEASE trigger. odd looking with skeleton stock and top wood fore end but it works for him! seen K-80 for £4k used and one or 2 cheaper. Serious clay guns Step above a Blaser F3

I find it odd that someone making their first post would resurrect a two year old thread. Not many 15 year olds have owned that many guns of that value. Hoping to get a new one??? Just hope he isn't a Walter. Edited May 31, 2010 by Gordon R

the running man
krieghoff first i herd of this gun maker was when i met my dads new girlfriend! who all so has subscripion to arfican hunter and dusent might the sight of dead rabbits ******* out blood back the gun they come in double rifle repeating break barrel rifle, combo shotgun rifle sum have three or barrel with different calibres stuart for the. outragous money they demand, I think ide rather buy a kamen or a dt10,without question the worst looking shotguns ever, with scroll work by villiage idiot.as for quality, well I can tell u they weigh a ton,and the build is nothing special. I really don't see wat the hype is all about, they are the fisher price toy.
Westcountryman
I went to a local clay ground recently and two of the guys there had Krieghoffs. The wood was stunning, but the gun isn't the prettiest. However, one of them looked brand new, not a mark on it and the owner told me he's used in regulary for the last 20 years : Which says to me that they are pretty durable! Mate of mine in the States laid out over 20 thousand dollars for a K 80 San Remo (with all the nice engraving) and the mechanism jammed up after 30 carts and refused to open - He was still with the local New Jersey rep who took the gun away and had it completely stripped and refitted by the next week. Since then he's loving the gun and he's hitting stuff like never before.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I've seen some pig ugly firearms over the years but their owners always seem to like them. Personally if it points where you're aiming and works first time every time. It gets my vote. Although I am pascal to a nice lump of exhibition grade walnut that been through the hands of a true craftsman. Gordon R
Horatio - no need to get snotty - I'm sure we were waiting in awe for news of the vintage scroll and titanium hangar and trigger upgrade. I certainly was. Perhaps the money would have been better spent on grammar lessons. PS - well done with the result.
