Cheapest I have seen on airgun BBS was as below (sold quickly)

Hi,

I have the following scope for sale:

MTC Viper 4-16x50,bought March '07.

It has slight scope mount marks and a scuff mark on the underside of the tube which affects just the finish and not the tube(you can see it in the photos).

It's mechanically perfect and comes with it's box and all accessories(mounts, covers, sunshade etc).

I'm selling because I'm not keen on the size of it.

I'll sell for £150 posted.

Thanks,

Chris.

Others seem to have been in £180-£200 region.

regards: drut

There always seem to be disproportionately more MTC Vipers for sale than any other scope. Having never looked through a Viper, is there a reason for this? Are they of disappointing quality, poor optical clarity or bettered by other brand of comparable price?

I made exactly the same comments a while ago Baldrick, and the MTC fan club threatened to burn my house down :good::hmm:

A moderator on a shooting forum said they are the best thing has ever seen, based on that a lot of sheep all went out an bought them, that may have accounted for quite a few of them that ended up in for sale section.

I have no doubt they are very good scopes, but 'try before you buy' are the keywords with scopes.

Highseas,

I've just checked now looking at the island across the bay. There's a red car over there I used as my mark, scope not attached to a rifle now remember. I tried 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x and 16x and I did not see any white out at the edges I am pleased to report  I like you had also heard about issues on the higher magnification models but it does not apply to this scope.

Stuart,

If you're calling me a sheep could you please PM me your poatal address so I may come and burn your shed (if you have one) down <_<

thanks very much mate i may have to get one for the hmr when the fac comes that is!!

more a herder of sheep :sad1:

Isn't that Welsh for Pimp? <_<

Lorraine has a Viper on her .243. For the price I don't think it can be touched .................. except in the reticle area which, in my opinion is a wee bit cluttered. But optically they're a poor mans nightforce.
