Is it a Mam-moth

Found this wee beastie on the wall of my house one evening.

Checked up and found that its called a Poplar Hawk moth.

Quite an impressive chap, 85mm across.

The next day ,it's hollowed out carcass was on the floor. The birds had it for dinner.

Holy moly.

 

If you look at the first photo of the moth, lean 3 feet back from the monitor screen and look at the back of it's head. You can clearly see Tosspot's face (or what looks like the big orangutans off the Clint Eastwood films).

 

Tis a miracle!

If you look at the first photo of the moth, lean 3 feet back from the monitor screen and look at the back of it's head. You can clearly see Tosspot's face (or what looks like the big orangutans off the Clint Eastwood films).

anyone in their right mind can see that the image in question is the look on Chards' face when he forlornly discards yet another pair of spent shells after emptying them into thin air
