JonnyR
Hi All, I am thinking about getting a flapper and need a recommendation on chargers. Is it worth buying a 'smart' charger which will condition the battery or is a dumb one good enough. Where is good to buy one? Maplins? cheers, Jon. Cranfield
Mine came from Maplins many, many years ago and it still works fine. It ain't one of those "smart" ones though.
malkiserow
There is smart and very smart. smart will shut down when charged adn keep it topped up very smart will cycle a battery and clean the plate surfaces. There is a charger called Caltec or somethink like it at around £30 which will "do it all"

THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
I use my Deben lamp battery charger. Nice & slow for these type of batteries. I charge when I get back & one every month or two when not used.
