Rimfire
Hi Guys, Just a trip down nostalgia lane. Does anyone remember the Relum Tornado air rifle. I used to have two of these. I thought they were brilliant for their era. Underlever action and deadly accurate (at least mine was). Does anyone have a picture of one? Browning
My second ever air rifle was a Relum Tornado, I thought it was the dogs nuts at the time as I was the only kid with an underlever air rifle. From what I remember it had very yellow woodwork and weighed about 2 hundredweight ! Great gun in those days.
Deako
My very first proper gun!! I remember I was so pleased 'cos it could put a big dent in a coke can from 20 yards! I tuned it up a bit and killed a few feral pigeons, and that was it, I was hooked, spent a bloody fortune on air rifles when I was a teenager. Fisherman Mike
I remember the Tornado very well. My Brother had one and I used it most of the time. In its day a useful piece of kit. Happy memories FM.
highdowns hunter
I Also had one and i used to have a break barrel Taurus 55 (I think they were called) Both had the same double spring inside. First shot ever with the break barrel i killed a pigeon on a roof top at 30 yards plus, the second shot i dropped a flying crow Cant say the same for my shotgun though

highdowns hunter
I dont know about being under powered, with new springs they would push a pellet through one side of a metal dustbin and almost out the other side. There was not many air rifles around that could beat them for power in those days

PEREGRINE
I had a double spring relum tornado and an ASI sniper in 177. The relum could cut a house brick in half at 35 yards but was not as accurate as my BSA Meteor. Peregrine

Rimfire
Hi Guys, Interesting comments. Mine was a double springer and yes, it was powerful. It knocked spots off the BSA Airsporter that I believe was the only other under-lever in general circulation at the time. I remember it having a long barrel which improved its accuracy somewhat.
