Lloydfred
Hi New or secondhand? If new you could get a Lanber Sporting Fixed or multi choke, good workhorse and not that expensive. Secondhand lots of good guns on the market at the moment, due to the credit crunch they have talked us all into don't be afraid to haggle. I was talking to a large dealer last week, he told me gun sales down at the moment by 20% on last year. Happy shopping!!!
proTOM1
I agree lanber sporting but m/c i use them day in day out !
Devon Fox
Another vote for a silver pig ,go for fit above style though. The new webley is worth a look, should give the lamber a run for it money in the 600 700 quid range.
straightshooter1
Browning Medalist M/C at the bottom of your price range but definatly not at the bottom for what you get reliable and good quality As an all round, more affordable type of gun the Medallist offers excellent value for money, and compares well with guns such as lanber and Lincoln Edited August 13, 2008 by straightshooter1

Alternatively silver pigeon is a really good gun in various grades dependant on budget. £600 should get the basic one.

deadeye
i really like my beretta 687 silver pigeon sporting guns (i have two just alike). the guns fit me well. i would suggest getting a beretta, browning, or miroku and most importantly make sure it fits you well. just my humble opinion. p.s. the above mentioned guns to me represent an excellent gun for the money. they aren't cheap, but they are well within reach of a working man and they are known to be real work-horses. Staffs-Shooter
I find a big difference in shooting with a Beretta as a pose Browning or Miroku. The Browning/Miroku tend to be a tad heavier
